Spinal Decompression

Whether you find yourself suffering from sciatica, constant neck/back pain or herniated discs--You should know that surgery is not always the only option for relief.

Greene Physical Therapy is pleased to offer the Southern Tier area and beyond, non-surgical, spinal decompression. How do you know if spinal decompression is right for you? Those suffering from any items listed below may want to consider a consultation to see if non-surgical spinal decompression is right for you.

Typically used to treat those suffering from:

  • Back or neck pain, sciatica (when you have a significant pain or weakness that can branch from your lower back all the way down your legs)

  • Worn spinal joints (called posterior facet syndrome)

  • Bulging discs, herniated disks or degenerative disk disease

  • Injured or diseased spinal nerve roots

How does it work?

Spinal decompression is a mechanical spinal traction treatment that gently stretches the spine. This stretching technique helps to take pressure off of spinal discs (which are gel-like cushions located between bones in your spine). Treatment duration depends on severity of your pain and varies for each patient.

Unsure if spinal decompression is right for you?

That's what we're here for! Our group of experts will setup a consultation to properly diagnose your symptoms and decide if spinal decompression is right for you.

So fortunate to have found Dr. Parker

“I had been suffering from chronic back pain for years…I dreaded the thought of surgery and knew that recovery would be a long road, I had no idea that there was a non-surgical option out there until I found Dr. Gary Parker at Greene Physical Therapy. I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done for me, he is truly amazing and I’m happy to say that for me back pain is just something that I used to have. Thanks Gary and team!
